Maeve McDowall said "We were delighted to receive funds to the value of £250 from the Acorn Centre and the Small Grants Committee. We value the practical support they consistently give our music-making, and this money will enable us to continue our development in reaching out to broader audiences and groups of singers."

At our Summer Concert our audience and choir members were generous with their donations to our chosen charity, Inspire By Inverurie. For that we thank you. We were able to donate £100 to St James Court. We even had the pleasure of getting some choir members together to perform to the residents before handing over the big cheque. We were so well recieved that we have been invited back at Christmas time for a Christmas Carol Singalong and we can't wait.

Here is what St. Jame's Court said afterwards -

"Would like to say a huge thank you to the Inverurie Choral Society who came into St James Court last night , they donated £100 for Inspire and proformed a fantastic concert in the communal room.

What a wonderful experience for everyone , even had a visit from there mascot Toby who definitely stole the show

If you haven't seen Inverurie Choral Society proform I highly recommend you do , they are great

Thank you so much from all of us at Inspire and definitely welcome back anytime."

Thank you to all involved. As a Community Choir we feel very passionate about giving to the community as best we can. It is now our summer break and look forward to starting back on Wednesday 30th August. We are always welcoming to new members. Please get in touch for more details here.

What an achievement!! Inverurie Choral Society 's 25th Anniversary Summer Concert was a success. Maeve our Chairperson had this to say to all involved;

Dear Faith & Matthew, and of course all you lovely choir members, and your families! Just to say a huge and heart-felt “Thank You” for all your efforts today, whether you were conducting - Faith, you’re never failingly encouraging and supportive. Accompanying - Matthew, sorry you’re leaving the area - we enjoyed your musicianship! Singing - well done all our soloists, and particularly appreciating that we were offered the opportunity to do our bit. And collectively, all our loyal and enthusiastic singers - you made a great sound, and I’m sure there were a few tears in some eyes!. And not forgetting our scratch Front-of-house Team - Bob, Aly, Joe and Izzie - thank you all so much for giving your time to deal with tickets and raffles - a scuttery job, but folk won the prizes, and we raised some money - FOH are the unsung heroes! It wasn’t only Teddy, who was proud of you all - I was too! Enjoy the rest of your weekend. When Peggy has processed the takings, we’ll be able give the donation to Inspire, and perhaps sing them a few songs too. We’ll be in touch! Best wishes in the meantime Maeve Chair, ICS

Also a big Thank You to Mark and Rachel on BBC's Out of Doors on the 10th June, who gave out 25th Anniversary Concert at the Acorn Centre in Inverurie a shout. This will help us raise funds for the Choir and Inspire
