ICS is back to Wednesday night singing with new Musical Director Faith Ockwell. What a great start tonight! Faith put us through our vocal paces with some harmony exercises, then Simon and Garfunkel's "Sound of Silence", Tomás de Victoria's "O Magnum Mysterium" and Sarah Morgan's "Keep you in peace." Wonderful to be singing together again. Roll on next week!

Here we are on our new website. And we have great news for you! We’re delighted to announce that your Committee has appointed a new Director of Music for Inverurie Choral Society. She is Faith Ockwell, a post-graduate student in Aberdeen, currently completing her Master’s Degree in Composition and Musicology. Some of you may know Faith already from other local music activities. She will be at the West Church Hall, Inverurie, 7.30pm on Wednesday 31 August to start us off with our first practice of the session. Faith has 15 years experience of directing choirs, and is looking forward to continuing her development in music as ICS’s new Director. Faith said 'Making music as choir should be fun, challenging, and a chance for singers to express themselves and engage their audience. I hope that ICS and I can work together to create some skilful and heart-felt music.
