A bit about us, by way of Introduction
We are a friendly and welcoming bunch of folk who enjoy singing together every week under the baton of Faith Ockwell, our new MD, putting on concerts at Christmas and in June, as well as giving performances in community settings and public places.
We also enjoy a bit of socialising, everything from joining fellow singers for a coffee or a pint, to a celebration party, BBQ or a Burns Supper.
Collaboration with other music makers is a particular pleasure. The successful Haydn "Creation" of 2018 with the Inverurie Orchestra remains a highlight to look back on, and we're excited to be joined by Aberdeenshire Saxophone Orchestra for this year's Christmas Concert, 6.30 Saturday 9 December 2023 at the Acorn Centre. We also have a planned carol singing programme during December in local retirement, sheltered and care accommodation. The next Come & Sing will be Saturday 16 March 2024 for "The Armed Man" by Karl Jenkins.
